To tell the story of The North Face's FuseForm technology, we partnered with Vitamin Pictures to create 3D stills and motion graphics that show a stylized blending of the two fibers over a mountain range that ultimately form the FuseForm jacket.

The modules below are taken from the previous version of thenorthface.com where we created a long scrolling experience The that triggered actions to further tell the story of FuseForm. The actions spun the jacket around, zoomed in as well as an overlay feature that showed how an old jacket compared to a jacket built with FuseForm technology.

Scrolling up or down would spin the jacket to the right or left in a full 360º rotation. As the user scrolled down the page, the two densities of fibers were highlighted with chartreuse overlays while descriptions of the fibers would fly out to describe the technical benefits.

This module represents a sliding overlay thet showed The North Face mountain jacket from 25 years ago with the new FuseForm Uno jacket. The comparison shows the lack of seams and recuction in bulk between the two jackets.
The FuseForm technology is difficult to see on screen at a small size so we created an interactive feature allowed the user to zoom in and move a magnifying glass over the woven fabric to see how the blending of the fibers looks up close.

Working with A•MO•BEE we created an experience that allowed the user to interact with the jacket on mobile devices. The result was a unique interaction that allowed the user an easy way to learn about the features of the jacket.
